Boudoir Photography Workshops
The heart of human excellence often begins to beat when you discover a pursuit that absorbs you, frees you, challenges you, and gives you a sense of meaning, joy and passion ~ Terry Orlick
I love sharing my knowledge amongst others which is why I offer one-on-one training sessions/workshops. I've been mentoring other photographers, running group workshops, and speaking at events and seminars for over 10 years. Prior to starting my own photography business I was in educational arts running creative workshops for young people and adults around the Country. Being able to help others achieve their goals gives me great joy and it's really important to me. I offer tailored & bespoke training programmes, Q & A sessions, portfolio reviews, and practical sessions to help build your skills/portfolio and/or just practice. Depending on which programme you choose, and where in the world you are, these can either take place over Skype, or at my Sheffield photography studio.

"I contacted Jess because I wanted to understand how a professional boudoir photographer worked and interacted with her clients. I met with Jess this week and wow, what a lovely lady Jess is, very friendly and easy to get on with. We discussed what I was looking to learn and Jess explained how she works on a boudoir shoot, from initial contact with the client to the actual day. With regards to the actual shoot, the client Jess had arranged for us to work with was Carly and she was fantastic. Carly had the pleasure of a boudoir shoot with Jess recently and was more than happy to come back to help us out. The shoot was very interesting and informative as the way that Jess photographed and interacted with Carly was so laid back. It was such a relaxed atmosphere and Jess encouraged Carly to move around to create different looks, styles and motion. Laughter and fun is the key and it was quite obvious that Jess has a wonderful way of working with ladies so they enjoy the experience. I was so glad that I contacted Jess, for not only did I get to meet a truly fantastic photographer, but I also got to see behind the scenes on one of her shoots and afterwards she was happy to answer any of my questions. Thank you so much Jess." Steve Rolfe 14/09/2017
"I had the pleasure of meeting Jess today for my 1-2-1 mentoring session. Jess not only gave me very constructive feedback on some of my photos, but she has also shared some useful tips/suggestions on how to edit photos in LR and how to change a few things in my camera to make the most of it! Jess has answered all my questions and boosted my confidence with her kind comments about my photography skills. Thank you so much Jess and I look forward to more workshops with you!" "I've been heavily contemplating going forth with my photography business, focusing on boudoir shoots in-particular. I'm always attending photography training courses and jumped at the chance to learn from Jess when she announced her Boudoir Workshop. I took a day off work and travelled up from London to attend and I have to say it's the best photographic training I have ever experienced and I came away with so much, Jess is very generous and giving with her knowledge and business insights, and so lovely too. I'm now super-charged for launching my photography business in the New Year. If you are into boudoir photography / or looking to get into it, I cannot recommend Jess' workshops enough, it really will be one of the best investments you make for your business." "I wanted to say thank you so much to the lovely Jess Petrie. I have admired her work for some time and went to one of her wedding photography workshops over a year ago. I learnt so much so decided to come back to Sheffield again for a Boudoir Workshop with Jess. The experience was wonderful and I'm filled with new confidence to take my own Boudoir Photography to the next level up here in sunny Newcastle Upon Tyne! Thanks so much Jess for all your kind words of encouragement and especially for your inspiration....." Jackie Parsons 15/02/16
